This section shows you all the available management utilities for maintaining other modules.
Web Links allows you have a complete web directory with categories and sub-categories, kind of like Yahoo. This comes with its own search engine, separate from the content of the site.

Table 7.3. Web Links Setup Options
| Add a Main Category | First of all you need to create a main category. The main categories are alphabetically sorted on the Web Links start page. Main categories can have as many sub-categories as you want. |
| Add a SUB-Category | Enter the sub-category name and select a main category to place it in. |
| Add a New Link | Not too much to say here, just fill the requested information for your new link. |
| Modify a Category | Select the category you want to modify, make your changes, and save it. |
| Modify a Link | There are two ways to modify a link. The first is in the administrative interface. In order to modify a link here you need to know the links database ID. Now if you do not know this, you can edit the link by clicking on the small icon to the left of the link title that is only visible to admins when viewing the actual links. This makes it much easier to edit a link if you do not know its ID (who does??). I like the hidden features, don't you? |
| Links waiting for validation | If a visitor sends you a new link, you will see a new box in the weblinks admin section. You can make any pertinent changes, visit (validate) the link, edit or delete, and publish the link once it passes your approval. If you approve and publish the new link, and Email field is filled in, an email will be sent to that address notifying the person that the submitted link was approved and posted. |
