The block center is often overlooked because the majority of the blocks in MPN are side blocks, however this block is a Center block. So what does this section do? Well in short, it enables the display of the News center block which can be configured to display New or Popular parts of your site. The sections you can choose from are downloads, reviews, articles, links, and sections.

Now let's take a look at your options here. In the above screenshot you see the five sections can be displayed in the left or right column of the center block. Select which side you want that particular section displayed on, or turn it off by selecting the off radio button. We have selected 3 sections on the left and 2 on the right. Next, if you want to change how many items are displayed per section, then change number in the form field for the section you wish to modify. You may also change how they are selected from the database. These options will allow you to display the Newest items for each section, or the most popular items based on how many hit's the item receives. We choose to leave everything at the defaults for this example. The following screenshot shows you what the center block looks like with the settings we used.
