Accessing the Administrative Account

In order for you to access the administrative features of myPHPNuke, you need to login as an administrator. To do this point your browser to the admin.php.

Once you enter the login name and password you just created during the setup you will be taken to the main administrative page.

You will find 2 main menu pages, MPN Administrative Menu and Nuke Administrative Menu. Here you see where we come form at best: the remainders of the original PHP-Nuke administrative menu and all extensions that have been made in the other menu. In the future both menus will be fully integrated, in this version of myPHPNuke they are still seperated menus. Therefor shall we describe them in 2 different chapters for easier reference by the site administrator. The first thing you will see is the MPN Administrative Menu.

Using these pages will allow you to fine tune and customize your site. Now we will visit each of these menu items in general with a short description about there purpose. Detailed information is available in following chapters.

Besides the administrator tools in these menus, there are also a number of tools for administrators while using the other scripts of the website, eg. when you are using the forum as administrator, you can just post and reply like every other user but you also have a number of maintenance functions available. We will describe them with every script in a seperate paragraph when available.
