How about adding this feature?

A script that will take a phpNuke 4.4 installation & upgrade it to MPN?

There must be thousands of nuke v4.4 user like me .. with active nuke sites .. that would love to upgrade to MPN as opposed to phpNuke v5; but are unable to do so since you have changed the format of the mySQL database!! (WHY did you do that? Other than to screw up my upgrade chances to MPN what actual benefits did it provide?)

You guys have abandoned us .. the very many users of phpNuke that MPN was originally based around .. v4.4?? (many would say that last stable release of phpNuke!)

My own nuke site is not as busy as this one .. but we have >100 users & an mySQL database thats currently about 800k in size.

Surely .,. if you chaps are smart enough to put together something as brilliant as MPN; then why on earth can't you make a script to allow us nuke v4.4 users to join you!

That's a fair question, so, what about it?

I don't understand.
I've used phpnuke 4.4 (shame on me!) and with the install.php of mpn 1.8 i've updated to 1.8 without problem.
mpn v2 will be different from phpnuke 5 of course (if i understand well!)

Sure, you can upgrade from nuke 4.4 to 1.8, that's what i did too ... whilst i upgraded to 1.8.0 ! For i'm now still standing on my 1.8.5 (waiting for v.2), i don't know if it's possible to upgrade directly from nuke 4.4 to 1.8.7+ ...

I had a "mirror" test site running MPN with a phpNuke v4.4 "engine" .. I'll put it up again & you can see how it gets totally screwed!

All it was; was a mirror of a working nule v4.4 site .. upgraded "as per the book" to MPN .. no tweaks .. no mods! Result? A total dogs dinner!

Don t go away!
