Have you modified the scripts in any way?
If any of the "included" scripts generates a stopping parser error you will get kicked out with no error messages.

If you could provide a link to the page when it was running 1.8.8_7 would be nice...

Yeah, right. So you can test the hack?

To trouble shoot any problems wyou will need to temporarily edit the index.php ( or whatever script your having problems with ).
At the top you will see a "require" statement with an "@". This needs to be removed ( not the entire line, just the "@" ) in order for you to see any parser errors returned by the script.
Once you have solved the problem, make sure you replace that "@".

That was me Dr. GoodMan.
Then if its a fresh install, then you're the only one so far who has that problem.
But in the meantime, provide a link to the site, where you're making changes that Kiril suggested... ----------------- trini0... mPN2 Test Bed

I have got the same error message. I guess it may be the problem of mysql premission.
Can anyone teach me how to open a proper account in mysql for this MyPHPNuke?
Thank you very much!!

Not very likely. Because the installer could contact MySQL for making tables and even the db itself.
So MPN can contact mySQL db anytime. So the error is not that. It must be something else.
And Xoops and postnuke runs like a charm, so why MPN complains, I have no idea ----------------- Dr.GoodMan

It seems that you are right. However what is the problem then. It is really strange. . . . .
